Broke down and finally bought a cordless pole chain saw at Harbor Freight yesterday. Atlas brand. Question about the bar and chain oil. The package had a 100ml bottle of straw colored oil that filled the reservoir and none left over. My question is can you put normal bar oil in these battery operated saws? I got plenty of that.

Regular bar and chain oil or SAE 30W motor oil (pg 5 or 6 in the owner's manual)

Appreciate it. Guess I missed that on the instruction manual.

I just put regular old bar oil like you’d use in any other chain saw in my Kobalt

I have been running whatever bar and chain oil I find when I need to buy more for two years in mine. That atlas brand stuff is decent for the price. Man that thing is so much lighter than the old echo my dad has and it will cut just as much if not more too.

They are handy but don’t compare to a gas saw.

It be's that way sometimes.

I'm using old hydraulic oil currently. Needed to be used for something.
