Not meaning to derail the thread here's one for you. I know a lady who moved to Destin recently. She went to get the mortgage and the rate was higher than she was told originally. She asked why and was told, get this, "Your credit score is too good." Say what? "Yes ma'am. Your credit is too good so your rate is higher." I chit you not. So, she promptly went and opened 10 credit card accounts. Credit score dropped. She got a better rate by over 0.5%.

We work hard. Pay our bills on time. Try to be financially smart and are penalized for it.

I like how they let the paper run out at the pumps, so you have to go inside to get it. Pisses me off, because I know every time it'll be an Indian owned station. They turn a perfectly good gas station into a flea market.

I feel for all the scam stories y'all are telling, but I ain't about that. I pay for gas at the pump & drive off. Got no need for overpriced snacks, drinks, vapes & cigs, waiting in line, etc. There's a few rare exceptions, but I rarely got a reason to go in.

I too vaguely recall hearing about the "credit too high" mortgage penalty nonsense a while back. Half assumed it was some BS crap that wouldn't get passed into law.

If I ever pump gas and that happens, I never go back there again no matter how cheap or convenient it is, just pisses me off.

The other thing they do is raise the temp of the drink coolers to save money. Irritates me to no end to go in and get a drink that's a couple degrees cooler than room temp.

Where do ya'll come up with this stuff? I too won't go in for a receipt and it irritates me. But the Shell by my home is owned by a good ol American girl and her family and they sometimes run out of paper. Has nothing to do with their Heritage or Ethnicity.

I’ve been telling y’all about these bastards for years now. The hotels that they own are nasty to and the don’t eat anything that they had to heat for the breakfast. They’ll serve the same powdered eggs all week long with out of date milk.

You don’t have to go inside to get screwed. Used to be one on Hwy 269 in the Birmingport area, where a friend of mine pumped nearly 4 gallons (according to the pump) in a 2 gallon jug.

Yup. Its not worth saving $10-$15 on a hotel if you are not going to sleep good and leave there with bed bugs, cholera, and some thing that takes 15 syllables to pronounce.

The crazy thing is, you can drive out to the middle of absolutely no where, and one single gas station will be owned by a dot.

Indians are great people has been my experience but are culturally very cheap.

I remember in the late 80.s or 90's when they mexicans showed up here the rag heads own the store an would take advantage of them . They bought something an gave him a 20. when he gave them change he try to cheat them out of their money. I told them to wait an I told the MF to give them their money an we both walked out. I never stop there again.

Pakistani's and Afghani's are the absolute worst and I refuse to process for them. To clarify This isn't a figure of speech but if they think your making a dime on them they want to renegotiate. Saudis aren't quite as bad but I still refuse to process credit cards for them if I can help it.
