I have been wanting a cynergy but figured I would ask on here first. Does anyone have any first hand experience with these? I would be using it for duck hunting (couple times a year) doves, maybe pheasant in SD every couple of years. Potentially everything except turkeys. I really wish I could find one I could shoot some to make sure I like it before spending 2k on one.

I’ve been toting one for turkey hunting for 20+ years. Best shotgun I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting.

What is the recoil like with the heavier loads? I have a dedicated turkey gun so mainly curious about when duck hunting. My SX4 is extremely soft on recoil, I'm not expecting it to be that soft, but don't want to jar my teeth either.

I shoot TSS turkey loads through it. It has a thump but unless you are a small feller it's not that bad. Not near as bad as fricking Mossberg turkey guns.

I’ve been swinging one for 15 years. I don’t know how many thousands of shells I’ve run through her but she’s all I’ll shoot at something flying with. Bo Whoop

If you’re from anywhere down around here holler at me and you can take her for a weekend.

I appreciate the offer. I've pretty much decided I'm going to get one, just trying to work out when. My 12yo son is wanting to move up to a 12 ga, and I told him he needs to put up $500 of his own money then I will cover the rest to get him a nice gun he can keep forever. He is close to having enough, needs to get this last cutting of square bales done. Then it will depend on what gun he chooses, if he picks a SX4, Franchi, A300, or Browning silver it won't hit me too hard. But if he wants a SBE3, Auto 5, Maxxux 2, A400 then it will hurt a bit more.

The plan is to go to a gun store, I will tell them to get down 1 of each and let him handle them (hopefully without him checking out the price or name) and pick the one he likes the feel of most.

I heard an older guy once say if you are looking for a good shotgun, get any brand you want as long as it starts with a "B" (Winchester and Franchi I consider close enough). That may have been the best shotgun advice I have ever received.

10 4 I’ve always been an o/u guy when it came to shotguns and I ruined 2 citoris trying to camo them over the wooden stocks. It’s nice not to have to worry about moisture as much with a cynergy. There was nothing more fun than going gun shopping with pops when I was a kid thumbup

They'll punish you shooting 3.5" duck loads. I've got one that I carried on 1 duck hunt. It was miserable. I went back to my sbe and the Cynergy went in the safe where it's been for about 15 years

I doubt I shoot any 3.5" shells unless I go after some geese, if, so I'll use by SX4. Would you want to sell your cynergy (since you havn't shot it in 15 years)?

I love mine. It's the Camo 3 & 1/2 inch chamber one. Sold my Maxus. It and my Citori is all I use now except when the old A 5 comes out.
