I am sure there are threads about this already, but I'd know technology changes. I am using game cameras for the first time. A couple Moultrie Edge Cell cams and a cheap SD card camera. I've had some success so far this year, but a little surprised at how close anything has to be to trip them. I estimated about 10ft to trip my Moultrie Edge. I've found angling them down helps, but just a little disappointed.

Is this normal, is this you get what ya pay for thing, or is there something else the denizens of Aldeer can tell me to get a better range of detection?

I feel like unless I have them right on a well traveled bottleneck it's pointless.
