Its a variety of what we call Baldwin Plain. Dates to the Late Woodland about 900-1100 AD

Any value to broken pottery. I used broken pottery like a mulch in one of my flower beds. I bet I have at least a thousand pieces but have never found one not broken. Some have designs and on several you can see the fingerprints of the maker.

Nope, no monetary value at all. But some folks like the stuff with designs on it.

Some have designs and on several you can see the fingerprints of the maker. None whatsoever but what I wish people would do, is place coordinates on anything they find. Place a paper with the coordinates, a few details, and artifact in a Ziploc bag. One day I'll be dead. All this crap I have found over the years will be useless to anyone studying history if I don't put some provenance to it. I call this archaeological stewardship. Everyone ought to do it.

Everything I have ever found is identified as to where and year on each point with a felt tipped marker. My kids care nothing about them so one day they will probably be sold by them. I went to an artifact show in Huntsville a few months ago and carried a 2” fluted Clovis I found in 1983. It has been worked down about all it could be worked down. Had several collectors there make an offer on it. I turned the offers down. Too much a part of me to let it go. I can remember in vivid detail the moment I saw it laying in a cotton row over 15’ away. I told the Good Lord thanks before I ever picked it up!

Nope, no monetary value at all. But some folks like the stuff with designs on it. You're talking about me now. I don't even bother to pick up a piece that doesn't have a design.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
