We planted 24 green fields today as I am sure many other clubs planted this weekend. It rain real hard last night in Coosa County and the green fields were in great shape for planting. Might get more rain tonight and tomorrow. Had a great day of hard work and a great day of fellowship. Also had a fantastic turnout of help from our members.

It’s dry as a bone here. No rain to speak of. I was able to get my bobcat into a place today that I haven’t been able to access for several years and push back some brush so I can see the whole food plot again. There is no moisture even in the ditch that normally stays wet. We are hurting right now. I bought a few seed just in case it rained today but we got nothing again.

Planted everything and didn’t get a drop in this dust bowl. I usually wait until October. I guess my seed can just sit there.

It's bad dry around us too. We will plant first weekend of October so hopefully will get a little moisture before then. Last year was miserable planting in a dust bowl.

I like planting just after dove season if there is any rain in the forecast. Still holding out hoping for more than one rain every two weeks.

I won’t ever plant again until I see several days of rain coming. Been there, done that! Good luck. I hope it all comes up for you. Frustrating when things don’t go well.

Can’t imagine planting this early. Mid to late October for me.

This! Especially in the southern half of the state. I want to know we have a good frontal system bringing rain and I try to plant a day or so ahead of it.. I also spread seed/fertilizer into sprayed plots and lightly disk, preserving as much moisture as possible and hopefully leaving a little thatch on top.

"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Yall don't remember last year us talking about this same thing. My seed stayed in the ground almost 3 weeks waiting on rain and they looked better than they ever did last year. We are going to be fine if you planted now
