Jack Daniels is 2 👍 and well worth the trip. Make sure you take the tasting because they give you the cheapest Ol No.7 to their most expensive. George Dickel is close to Jack’s but it was closed during the lockdown.

I live by JD and have been told by locals to save my money. I'd rather go to the small, Southern Pride Distillery by my house and visit and take a personalized tour and tasting from the nice people that run it.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Jaw you need to check JD out. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Not at the prices they charge. I did enjoy eating at Miss Mary Bobo's though, which is owned by JD. The couple at Southern Pride are super nice and love what they do.....and it is free except for $5 if you want to taste up to 6 of their products.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I figured everyone was protesting JD since they have JD Tennessee Fire to support LGTBQ year 'round and had photo shoots with RuPauls drag queens. I've driven past the place a few times but never toured it. I liked just cruising the areas and admiring the sights though.
Now you know folks have to pick and choose 😃

Been to JD a couple of times, it's OK . If you wanta go to Buffalo Trace , you better book 6 weeks in advance , no kidding! If you're in the BT neighborhood , check out Woodford Reserve and 4 Roses aging and bottling facility . Was there just last week. There's a bunch of distilleries around Louisville and Lexington waaaay better than JD. Woodford Reserve is first class.

If you are up here, you seriously need to eat lunch at Miss Bobo's. Family style with two seatings a day, at 11 and 1. Some of the best southern food I've had and my wife's family are renown for cooking so I know good southern food.
You have to reserve seats on line unless you want to take a chance. $30/ per adult for a whole meal, all you want. The menu changes daily depending on what is fresh but you can count on Fried Chicken being one of the meats.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I have done the angels share tour twice at Jack Daniels and was highly impressed each time and I do not even love Jack Daniels. I have grown to enjoy the single barrel select and barrel proof, especially after the tours. Still need to tour buffalo trace and many others in Kentucky.
Miss Mary Bobos is 100% a must. Very cool place to eat after your tour.

Woodford was one of the most enjoyable for me. You can take a long weekend and go up to stay in Frankfort and visit several (Buffalo trace, woodford, Wild turkey, four roses). Stop by makers mark on the way back and dip your on bottle. Could be a nice fall weekend trip. My turn to deer camp is just passed Buffalo trace.
