80’s. Reagan, sitcom tv, no internet, most folks had money, the music I'm 57, and for me I will say the 80's. Reganomics seem to be working in my family's favor, seemed like the dollar bought more, we had more music being made that I liked in regards to Rock n' roll and true country. Still listen to the old stuff from that era. If I'm not mistaken I would say our ranking Defensively as a nation was stronger, but it was a differewnt time in how we fought wars and conflicts from todays. Seemed like society had a better work ethic as well. Yeah... I agree. But man... The cars sucked.

I don’t know about the cars sucking because I had a ‘69 Camaro that would jump a to can when you popped the clutch and smoke the tires in a heartbeat.

Agree with 80s. Reagan was the best president ever. Reduced government, reduced taxes, let us keep more of our earned income and put people to work so they got off government assistant so they could generate tax revenue instead of sucking it up

1950s WWII ended and the country was living the economic boom it created. Loyalty to America was an all time high.

I personally think the US is the best place to live. I think our society has changed a lot in the last 10 years. It’s seems that our government has just become so corrupt. Maybe it’s always been like that. "America.........The worst country in the world, except for all the others"

the 24/7 news/and commentary cycle and social media's immediate bias confirmation suck the intelligence right out of people ... individual states are STILL great places to live; others are not; all under the same flag ...

My dad was born in 43, he’s always said without a doubt he grew up in the best time ever. 50’s and early 60’s. Mom and pop stores everywhere, kids could ride their bikes and play anywhere. Traffic was very light back then too, most families only had one vehicle.

The best slogan from the 80’s sure fits the people in the USA who hate it “Delta is ready when you are” The 70’s and 80’s were a great time to grow up Most everyone had a skill and stuck with a job and didn’t have over developed thumb muscles
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

If I had a time machine, I'd love to go back and experience the 80's as a young adult (maybe early/mid-20's - 30's).

Youre statement in the other thread pointed at things some people say, which are generally true, as if those people dont love America, or maybe they think this is a terrible place to live. I assume you are talking about me, as well as others. The things i say are absolutely true and pretty easy to prove. However, i doubt you could find one post where i ever complained about my life. I am 100% satisfied with my life and what God has blessed me with. I am however 0% satisfied with the way our politicians are representing We tge people, and their lying, and their stealing, and even the persecution of American citizens trying to fight for our country, or those they have murdered who were signed up to defend this country. Im not satisfied with any of that. But above and beyond all of that, my Lord and savior has richly blessed me and mine. But i have a feeling he would have done that regardless of where my address was.

Late 1940’s to Late 1950’s IMO. The United States was a new Super Power and on top of the World.

But i have a feeling he would have done that regardless of where my address was. I wasn't talking about you. I was trying to make a positive statement about how great our country is regardless of the petty problems that it has and has had since the beginning, and that there is very little reason for anyone to be thinking of an armed revolt to "Fix" things, because that never turns out well.
