Usually the nfa will fast track pending items. I'd definitely be on the phone with Nichols and the nfa branch if I had no luck there.

There will be someone there to get you your suppressor once it's approved

Normally they would but there are several hundred nfa items waiting on approval

That's like a week for a examiner, so it's still doable. However, technically the items are Nichols until transfer approval even though the items are paid for.

There have been cases where dealers took pending items. Nfa essentially said that it was a civil matter. I'm not accusing Nichols of being one of those, it's just something to keep in mind.

Is that where you work?
Looks like it is. So sorry they did that way to you. Employers owe a warning to their employees, at least a couple of weeks. I hate secret shucks until you walk in and boom! mad

Dangit man. That stinks. You will land on your feet and they could have at least given ya'll a warning that it could happen soon so you would have a chance to prepare.

Yes. Sorry to hear that. I bought a bow from there a few years ago and had a great archery experience with those guys. Also bought a few guns there. I always liked the store and the people there. Hate to hear it for you.

When Rock Creek Arms (Nick Hope) went out of business…I had bought a .308 suppressor rated for full auto and a 45 suppressor. Never got either suppressor or my money back.
Buy from a large company is my recommendation.

That’s good advice. I never envisioned Nichols going out of business.

There has to be more to this story. I hope the other poster will shed some light on what he heard.

I think you are fixing to see a bunch of businesses closing shop. Costs are up, employee wages are up, everyone wants discounts on everything etc etc. I have noticed way more for lease signs lately, more than anytime since Obama left the Whitehouse. Seems like 3-4 yrs is how long it takes for c9mpanies to crumble due to democratic policies.

That seems like a tough business to survive in outside the long time established ones.
