Matt just say who it is. That way we can put them on the ban list. I would have lost my shucks. I’ve been ill at games before but never to that point. I can tote an ass whooping with the best of them but I’d have crawled up someone’s ass before it happened.

The team was Ashford. I’m telling y’all I’ve never witnessed anything like it in all my life. The behavior allowed was one thing. The officials acting as if it wasn’t happening and doing nothing about it was shameful. I had two cops tell me they were enforcing a no tolerance policy. After the second one said that, I replied with “You must be enforcing that on us and not them, because they’ve acted like animals the entire two games and you’ve ignored it, yet constantly remind our team, who’s done nothing, of this policy you state to enforce.”

The lack of response by everyone I sent a letter to tells me all I need to know. Ashford was a few miles down the road. Their park director is also the south AL DYB director, and he allowed all this. He could’ve shut it down and didn’t. I explained to him as a parent that my children would never participate in another DYB event and he screamed in my face.

If the good parents would start standing up to the ones who are trying to live vicariously through their children a lot of the nonsense would stop. An ass beating or three would do those idiots a world of good.

Played y'all in the regular season at Northside - I coached one of our teams this year. One of many reasons we don't play Dixie Youth any longer... we played USSSA state over in the Oxford area this year and had a great experience.

People simply don’t fear consequences for their behavior, because there are no consequences. Every type of rude behavior is accepted, applauded, and thought to be the norm.

I wouldn't have put up with that shucks either. Good for him. I know a guy who used to ump and ref at baseball and football games and they sure don't do it for the money, just because they enjoy it and like watching the kids play. Those parents are friggin idiots, I feel bad for their kids.

When I was over our Toybowl program, I kicked one of my own coaches off the sideline. He was about to get us all kicked out.

I hope it does after this. They can go the way of bud light.

Apologies from Headland. I didn’t hear all that went down. Be glad you don’t have to play in Ashford. Special bunch down there

The money has changed lately. They can call one Saturday now and make what a lot of folks bring home in a week. The local park here I think pays over $120 per ump per night. Schedule 1 game or two for the night, they get the same money.

About midway through the second game our focus shifted to getting our families in the vehicles safely and the game was of no importance. We had kids crying out of fear. It was the craziest idiocy I’ve ever seen.

So sorry that happened to you and the team. I’m surprised it wasn’t handled more appropriately. I’m gonna ask around and get the scoop. Headland is not known for this nor condones any of that behavior.

10U. It was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in all my years playing and my kids playing.

Been there done that. Cal Ripken, Maddison East & West. Was just damn awful.
