The senate voted to kill Biden's $400B giveaway to forgive student loans. He will veto it and that will be the end of it. How do you feel about working to pay some frat boys student loan?

I paid off all of mine and now will have to pay off others who won't pay their own.

That news just made markets shift positions. That dude needs to be curb stomped. Everybody, even Democrats, are irritated with him.

I don't like it one bit. Just another handout. I didn't go to college but I worked hard and paid cash for my kids college education. I don't like any handouts. I think they should all be done away with. If you don't work, you don't eat. If your unable to physically work, get a job calling me about an extended car warranty or sell me some insurance. I'm tired of working my azz off just to be taxed to oblivion.

Yep. It’s blatantly unconstitutional. I think the SCOTUS ruling is coming later this year.

I personally think it is crazy for people to take out massive loans for school, when getting a degree that will never pay enough to cover the loans. I saw a story on the news yesterday about some person paying off all loans for a graduating class. Some girl that got her loans paid off, so that she could chase her passion is now making pottery and selling it. That tells me that she spent 4 to 5 years in school for nothing.

Yep... The Supreme Court will shut that chit down permanently.

All it is, is the Democrats pandering to the young liberals that think they are "owed" everything. It's the same people that "expect" a "Living wage" just for showing up to a menial job. Or better yet, they expect a "Universal Income" for doing nothing.

Worked full time and paid my way through college. After selling our first home, we paid off my wife's school loans. She went back and got a nursing degree and paid off all but a couple K of that loan and will have it paid off soon. Pay what you owe, it's that simple. Freeloaders disgust me.

I’m a dummy, so how does the proposed deal work? Dead beat student sends loan info and the bank or whatever gets paid. Or does student get paid, spends on what the want and still have debt?

IF they paid it, the students wouldn't get a check... Hopefully all of those loans get paid in full by those that took out loans.
