I know cucumbers are supposed to be annuals but we went to set out our garden yesterday and where we always pant our cucumbers there are several “clusters” of small cucumber plants coming up. Anyone else ever have this happen before? This is a first for me. I read it can happen but not very common. I’m guessing maybe it’s from one of our cucumbers that rotted on the ground late in the season, dropping its seeds into the dirt. Who knows?
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

yep a rotten one fell off and the seeds went dormant underground. Have that happen every year with tomatoes and they are usually pretty strong plants FWIW
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Yeah, i would say its from seed, not root stock. Yep. Definitely not from root stock.

Never had cucumbers do that, but I generally always have zinnias come back from seed.

Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.
