Got AL bird #4 about an hour ago!! Now onto GA and Wyoming!! Met up with my dad after separate morning hunts and we went to a section of our club where I knew several were. Approached one of our plots and spotted two gobblers in it with some hens and jakes. We made a loop and got to within about 70 yards of the plot. I soft yelped and I could hear one of them drumming. After a few minutes I spotted a red head pop up at 50-55 yards, then the other red head popped up. My dad, being left handed was sitting to my right. As the birds came a little closer, we decided to do a countdown and shoot. So I called and those heads popped back up. 1, 2, 3, boom!! Mine when to flopping and his went to flying!! He shot just a split second behind me and he thinks he jerked when I shot. Not a bad way to end my season beside my dad who will turn 69 in a few weeks!! 10 9/16” beard 1 1/16” spurs 18.1 pounds

Congrats!! That 1 2 3 countdown works about 1/2 the time with the man doing the counting usually doing the killing! Hope dad gets another chance!
