Also be careful of people causing a disturbance during church to try to get you to do something they could sue you over. This happened in Tennessee last month.It’s a sad thing to think you have to wear a gun in church but you are less than a man to me if you want protect your family. And for those that think the church don’t love or care for people we just got home from bullding a handicap ramp for an elderly member. The first day you could turkey hunt with a decoy by the way. Going to fix a roof for another person tomorrow. We also house and feed the homeless every Tuesday night and cook them a big breakfast. I have learned you can give some people help and they will get their lives back on track. Others had rather be an addict and live in a tent. Also some people like to condemn others to make theirselves field better

If someone had went and shook her hand and welcomed her to church, everyone would know why she was there. Jesus walked alot of miles just to get to dirty nasty sinners, just so he could love them. Then he told us to do what he did. Were supposed to love our neighbors, and hes not talking about the guy who lives next door. He explained that pretty well. Its in there.

I guess you think we should also let anybody that volunteers serve in the nursery. The man said she was spoken to not that she was shunned

No I admire your testimony and my intent was to not prove you wrong. I was more concerned with the whole church security concept than I was this particular instance. I am sure you are a good man but I don’t think you understand fully the liabilities a church might face. I am bowing out of this because I don’t want to make any enemies but Satan is real as Jesus is and he is working harder because his days are short.

I go to a small church and thats all i really know about. I might change my mind if i went to a bigger church. My church is not the best at welcoming either. What i said, i believe is right, according to what the bible teaches.

Im fixin to really blow yalls mind. So the woman was a militant muslim intending on doing harm to those in the church. That would make her our(christians) enemy, right. So, according to the teaching of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior, and what is written in the word of God, what are we supposed to do to, or in relation with our enemy. Jesus said to "Love them". Matter of fact he said there wasnt much to loving our friends, anybody could do that, but loving your enemy is where its at. Now, lesson number two, show me anywhere in the new testament where Jesus told anybody to defend themselves..... Its not in there, matter of fact his instruction was to not defend yourself, "turn the other cheek". And he even rebuked Peter for defending him. And i am not saying i wouldnt defend myself or my family, im just telling you what Jesus said, which i believe is the duty of a christian. My opinion is this, when we decide its our job to protect us, that relieves God of the job and our protection suffers greatly. God will do it, he says he will, but when we decide were gona do his job, i believe he will let us gove it a shot.

JW....You ain't wrong. I will add that what you're saying even applies to how we view all races and cultures, even those we don't associate with or understand. Not just strangers entering the church we attend acting funny but everyone.

Before everyone has a come apart I do believe we defend the defenseless against evil doer's.. But everyone isn't determined to harm others and have bad intentions,, they are just different, and misunderstood.

I'll give an example. There was an older lady who was visiting our church for a few month. She would get up and walk outside shuffling her feet and mumbling. I thought she had mental illness of some sort until I actually talked to her. She had chronic back issues and couldn't sit for over 30 minutes at a time without have to move. Shuffling her feet was how she managed to walk. During our conversation I discovered she communicate very well and seemed to be a very nice lady but was just in a lot of pain. I felt ashamed because I had judged her without knowing her story. I thought she was an addict or just nuts. She wasn't. She was a really nice person just trying to come to church.

And sure, there are exceptions. We always should watch out for others but not cast judgment.

There was alot of killing in the old testament. So, i guess you could use that and say God is just fine with killing. But Jesus changed everything, i reckon we could agree with that. And i believe every word of the old testament is still good

J Walker I feel like Luke 22:35-36 along with 1 Timothy 5:8 might make me think different I know I said I was out and I lied lol which is a sin. You probably live a better life than I do because we are supposed to obey our rulers and pray for them. I guess the only time I pray for Joe Biden is that God would remove him

I dont have warm feelings for bidun myself, but i dont like that. And im not better than anybody. Ive messed up alot and will again tomorrow. Gods rules are hard. If anybody could follow them 100%, Jesus wouldnt have had to die for us.

I agree 100 % but entertain this one thought and correct me if I am wrong because I am a lot. Don’t you think that a lot of verses like turning the other cheek is referring to not seeking revenge or vengeance ?

The scripture in Luke could be a good arguing piont. The 1 Timothy scripture is definately talking about providing for your family, not defending them. Listen, i would do the same thing you would do if someone broke into my house. But i cant say Jesus said it was ok to do it. But he would forgive me and i would just keep right on trucking. Were just men.

I think the "turn the other cheek" scripture was Jesus saying "look, i know what human nature is, i know what your flesh makes you want to do, but do as i say and i will take care of you". I think most of the Bible is just trying real hard to get men to trust God. All he ever wanted wasfor his people to believe him and trust him. But your opinion is just as good as mine. The important thing is that we read the Bible, think about what it is saying to us and doing our best to follow it. Disagreeing on something like this wont end either of us up in hell. Theres just one thing we absolutely have to agree on.
