Good luck!

There’s plenty of folks that really do have big numbers like that but there’s just as many that are hearing the same bird or two, just with their head turned in a different direction for each gobble. Deep hollows and hills magnify the effect even more.

We’re not dead. We just smell that way. Dayum. - AC870

Yessir! I’m always gonna shoot what makes me happy and I want everyone else to do the same! If you shoot one be proud of it and don’t worry what anyone else thinks. - SJ22

Before my Russell Co. place Got overrun with hogs and then got clear cut, there were very few mornings that I heard less than 4-5 birds and sometimes it was more than that. It is starting to come back some now. The one I shot yesterday had 2 others with him and one was gobbling behind me. Definitely not typical for the last few years but ill take that magic when it happens.

What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

My Turkey Hunt won’t take place for another month. I hunt in Huron County MI with a close buddy who is a real Turkey Whisperer. My hunts with him have never lasted longer than 2 days, and we’re 7/7 hunting together. Here’s my long beard from last April. He had two beards, the longest of which was 10” and 1 1/4” Spurs. I’m not bragging on my ability- I’m just smart enough to befriend a true master Turkey hunter.

I got introduced to turkey hunting in the late 90s. I tell my kids all the time, if hunting back then was like today I would be fishing instead.
