Buddy killed last min before heading down to the next property around Immokalee Florida. We are Down Here now…gametime as I’m back on the gun! It’s a different world down here even compared to near Lake Okechobe. Will upload more pictures when I have better service! Birds have been tough as there are a lot of single hens and we have heard very little gobbling but have had to sneak and ambush in the orange groves. Now onto the swamps!

What’s so tough about it? They were no different than Easterns. Hunting the swaps is like stepping back in time but the birds are just birds. Good luck.

Hunting an unfamiliar place with birds that don’t gobble is tough for most. I’ve grown up Huntin swamps so terrain wise it’s cool but similar

Thanks y’all! Buddy killed his second and another nice bird… 11 1/8” beard with 1 and 1 1/16” spurs needle sharp. I came close to closing us out this am but no cigar. Birds hammered but were bad hemmed up. Saw the strutter later in am strutting with 2 hens at 350 on the neighbors. He was gobbling to me but going away. Lot of birds. Will hunt hard tomorrow as we are drinkin beer and casino time today

Last min kill…struck at 3:15, killed at 12 steps in Cyprus swamps with just my diaphragm and a buddy’s gun as my friend had already taken off to Nebraska! My other buddy killed this am. 5 birds in 5 days with 3 in last two days. It hasn’t been easy, we just have been blessed with crazy situations on this trip that ended up with us killing birds! Pics to come when I get better service

Thanks y’all! Trip of a lifetime…many memories made with some good friends and made a few more! Lots of laughs, lot of beer, and lot of critters! Nebraska buddy had never been to the beach nor seen a gator or a hog and was able to shoot some hogs as well! Pic dump coming in!

I always have a picture of my big PaPaw with me when I hunt so that he can be along for every kill…I can’t wait to give him a play by play when I see him again in Heaven. Hope y’all enjoyed the thread and the story of a trip of a lifetime for me! God Bless
