Planted 16 whips of 8 heirloom varities of apple today.
While resting after doing that and thinking about what all had been done since 2018 on about 7 acres.

Planting list.
16 apple trees.
2 crabapple trees.
6 plum trees.
9 fig trees.
3 american persimmon.
5 fuyu persimmon.
7 pear trees.
4 mulberry trees.
7 dunstan chestnut.
7 chinese chestnut.
42 blueberry bushes.
140 ft of muscadine trellis with 7 types.

Probably this fall will be adding 4-6 cherry trees and another 6-10 of more heirloom varity apples if are available.

Lot of work but its going to be nice one day for someone to enjoy.

Where did you find your trees?

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Are you spraying them on a regular basis? I'm new to fruit trees and plan on adding some apple, plum, and peach soon. Those I've talked with say to spray neem oil regularly, some say weekly, some say monthly from bloom until end of fruiting. We're trying to keep from spraying chemicals if at all possible.

Rmart30 sounds like the guy to be asking questions ..... I too am new at this fruit tree thing... interested in anything/everyone has to share concerning this. Another question ... how long did you have to wait before picking apples?

Also intrested in what everyone does to keep the deer out? I fed them all winter and enjoyed watching them... now I want them to go away until the fall! Can you have it both ways? hahaha ... Deer are working on my blueberries.

The dunstan chestnuts came from walmart and are from chestnut hills . Most of the chinese chestnut came from lowes.
The fuyu came from a nursery grower in blount county. They came in 3 gallon pots for $15. Lowes is getting $60 for same size fuyu.
