I have good luck with TPS and Seekins. However you would do as well to pull that rail and use a DNZ mount.

I wouldn't have removed the rail. Nothing easier than mounting scopes on a rail and they're guaranteed to be in alignment.
If not using a rail, get Talley Lightweights.
