Looking to up grade trigger in the 700, candidates are timmey or trigger tech. Anyone got experience with the trigger tech?

Have one of the lower tier Trigger Tech units in my Christensen 22. Feels great but my old 700 with an original, tuned (I know) Walker trigger is still better.

Both are good the Timmey shoe is a little wider, sometimes you’ll need to open up the slightly for the shoe and clearance for the adjustment jamnuts. The trigger tech shoe feels like an old walker and is externally adjustable. Either is good but I’ve slowly swapped all mine over to trigger tech.

I’ve got a Timney on my Model Seven 7/08 and the Model Seven 6.5 CM i just got has a Trigger Tech. Both are great triggers. I like the wider shoe on the Timney a little better.

Timney is a definite upgrade over the POS Remington XMark trigger, but it still has a little creep. Trigger Tech is outstanding and I've swapped out a couple of Timneys for a TT Special.

I own both. If Triggertech makes a unit for the rifle, that's what I would buy. Timney is also great.

I have a timney on one and a trigger tec on another. You better be READY to shoot when you touch the trigger tec. It is a great feeling trigger

A lot to f good triggers out there. I prefer triggertech but don’t think you can go wrong with any of the ones mentioned here.

I prefer Timney simply because I do not like the shoe design of the Trigger tech
They are both great triggers though.
Never felt any creep in a Timney if it's adjusted properly
I also like a Jewel

I'm using a Jewell in my .222 varmint 700 with a trued action. I hate that we lost Arnold Jewell a while back. He was a good competitor

The Timney is a very good trigger and I prefer the wide trigger shoe for some guns. But for a long range rifle I prefer the thinner profile Trigger Tech and it just seems slightly better when adjusted to the same pull weight.

If Trigger Tech offered a flat shoe version, I'd be all over it. The stepped design though feels weird to me.
Have you tried the Timney thin shoe?
I've come to prefer those on a hunting gun

This prob will not help but i will tell u what i did that made me fall in love w my 270 all over again. As i got older and lost some if my nerve - i started missing - w out going into years of details - i realized i had what felt like a mile long trigger pull. Had gunsmith test my Remington 700 poundage - trigger was at 8 pounds. That is beyond horrible and is a jerk waiting to happen. I told him to make it very lite - i am guessing its around 2 pound now and feels awesome - lov shooting this gun now
