My son and I are back at it. Looks like we will be right on the cusp of getting the rain. Hopefully they will move. Saw a few this morning. Getting to the point of season where we need to lower our standards, so we can up our average.

While at a meeting this morning I was told a big one was seen running across the field behind the house. Maybe him or a buddy will be around. Been slow since I fubared that one a couple weeks ago. Haven't been in a tree all year

I wussed out and decided to come home for the night and spend some time with the family. Weather forecast at camp shows rain til about 5:00 am. So maybe it will keep them bedded all night and they will be ready to go crazy tomorrow. Filled all of daddy’s feeders on his green fields and moved a ground blind in some hardwoods around a bend of the logging road about 40 yards. I’ll be back at it in the morning. Good luck to those of you who are hunting this evening.

Workin for the man, huntin when I can.

Gonna be a great hunt today regardless if I kill one or not. My son came home early from work and asked me to go sit in the big shooting house with him this afternoon. When they get 21 these days are few and far between. He may not understand yet how that makes his dad feel, but one day he will!!! Maybe one will stroll by tho, as I seen 17 doe and three descent bucks yesterday at this spot.

Glad I picked the only enclosed stand here at the house. Got here just in time for the rain to start 🙄

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

I should hav stayed at home - radar and forecast show rain all night and day - no rain first 2 hours - I get in stand and it starts - go home - stops raining for hours - right after I get back in blind - raining hard

I should hav passed a
D staid at house - our 4 plus year record levels of rain continues

Nothing moving here today - been off and on light rain but sure thought we might see some movement.

Great hunt! Only seen 7, but my son and i may have ran some off with "oh crap" sounds that come out of us when the flying squirrel made it's entrance into the window of our shooting house. I will be sore for a month due to how tight I tensed up. Don't know who was louder us or the squirrel!
