Hard to say it’s a fawn but saw one nursing today. No spots medium size to the other deer with them. Whats AL Deer think? born late?

Most likely. I have one like that doing the same thing at the farm.

Weird you say that. My dad saw two nubbing bucks nursing from a doe this evening. Said he couldn’t bring himself to shoot the doe because they were still nursing. Don’t reckon we have ever seen one nursing this late in season before. May be more common than we think. But to answer your question my best guess is she was bred late somehow so they were born later on.

Workin for the man, huntin when I can.

fawns will TRY to nurse on does about as long as the doe will allow em to. Not unusual at all.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
