The clip blade is general purpose. The spey blade on a stockman is for castrating. The sheepsfoot blade is for cleaning hooves, I think. Not sure about that.

I use the clip point blade 90% of the time, for whatever I need from trimming limbs to cleaning deer/hogs to cutting a steak. I Only use the other blade for cleaning a deer. It's for just in case I haven't had a chance to touch up the main blade, I always have a sharp blade to clean a deer with. And if you know your joints, it's the only tool you need for it.
