Coming in from South Carolina to hunt family land right on the Chilton Dallas county line. Anyone got any insights?

I think you picked the correct dates. I am next door in Coosa County and those dates look good for the rut. It may come in a few days earlier but should be still going on

Thanks man. I really hope it is still going on. Slow year here in South Carolina. I would honestly just be happy seeing deer in daylight.

It has been slow for us also. First week to 10 days was good. Normally it really picks up the second week of Jan. every year. Cold weather really knocked down green fields, but they will slowly come back for the most part.

I’ll be migrating westward that week as well. Heading down on the 11th. Will be hunting Macon Co. should be right about time there.
