If I had neighbors like that I'd move.

Most counties allow for killing a vicious dog which threatens you on your property. It's in the county code. Verify for your county. That's really the only to legally dispatch the animals.

Carry your neighbors a summer sausage. Tell them that it’s either for them keeping their dogs off your property or for your condolences on the loss of their dogs, it’s up to them. Just walk away

There’s only one way to handle that situation. If you don’t want to handle it have someone do it while you’re gone. No way to tie it back to you if a poacher fixes your problem. 🤷‍♂️

I spoke to my LEO friends a few times regarding a situation with a neighbors dog a couple years ago at my old house so I know what I can do legally, I just moved here 2.5 yrs ago and had issues with people driving past 7 no trespassing g signs trying to find the meth dealers that own these dogs. I had to convince people that I’m meaner/crazier than they are to finally put an end to that. If these were just rednecks I could deal with them; they’re not so…. I’m not worried about this post causing me any trouble I will eventually deal with this situation in a manner that is “legal”. PM me if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions.

A portion of my farm has been in my family for over a 100 yrs. The adjoining landowners are very similar. It has always been common knowledge that you better keep you dogs put up fro Oct to Feb. Doesn't matter if it's a mut or a $5k British hunting dog.

If you can figure out a way to prove they are shooting across your line you could get the law involved but that may be counter productive.

The dogs aren’t the problem. Eliminating them is folly because the trash living beside you will trade their food stamps for another one.

I think you got the right idea that you got to out crazy they’re crazy. Where people screw this up with meth heads is they build up over time.

You’ve got to use shock and awe with meth heads. I mean carefully put tannerite on your property in multiple locations that you can shoot from one spot. Have a spot cleared near their property (on your side) for a big bonfire. Now as soon as they let the dogs loose start the bonfire. Quickly move into position and hit all the tannerite sites. Now for the grand finale. Get about 10 grand finale firework deals on the cheap and fuse them all together (I mean the big loud ones). Put them over by the bonfire so as your neighbors paranoia is growing while they’re trying to see what’s going on they start going off. You be in clear sight of them by the fire, fireworks going, death metal blaring from your loudest speaker covered in deer blood in nothing but whitey tighties and have a doe’s heart in your hand and start screaming “Ka-li-mah!!!” Then bite the heart staring straight at your neighbors.

If they still mess with you after that then you should probably just sell

Are these neighbors renters or property owners? If they are renters, then the property owners need to be informed of the tenants' activities and with luck, they will get evicted and take the dogs with them.

If your neighbors are shooting and deliberately trying to harass you, then getting rid of the dogs is not going to help your situation. They're just using the dogs as a tool to harass you. Figure out a way to get rid of the neighbors and the dog problem will go away with them.

Yeah I am pretty sure I saw this on Macgyver back in 1986.

Dealing with people that have nothing to lose and they know you have everything to lose is extremely difficult. If they become aware you did anything to harm them, they’ll just burn your house down. Or hide in the woods and shoot you.

Maybe you can think of a creative way to make dogs disappear silently. I would at a minimum move my stand out of their sight and only enter and leave under darkness.

I grew up in Bibb and still hunt 2 properties down there unfortunately even though the county is rural there aren’t many places you can go and there’s not a house within dog running distance. And for some reason people let them Rome freely during season. We see a few every year but luckily it hasn’t gotten out of hand where we had major issues.

I e taken care of a few problems over the years. I didn’t come onto an Internet forum inquiring about what to do. I did what I needed to and the problem went away and nobody ever knew anything.

I've killed them and had the law come out for a report . County took the dead dogs with them
I got some scary stories about stray and throw away dogs

Elmore county

I don't worry about dogs running the deer but in the yard making trouble or livestock. I'll kill he'll out of them in a minute.

Sounds like you got a neighbor problem and not a dog problem.

You got the right idea! Little bourbon, beer, food, we could have a good time hunting for a few days! Hell i've been known to sling a few arrows in my day myself 😏😆
