I've never registered for a turkey hunt, so I got a couple of questions. Is it worth spending the time hunting these? On the site it just gives a start date, are they 1 day hunts? Do you have to buy a management area license prior to registering or after you are selected? I'm just thinking about signing up for one of these as something new to try. Thanks in advance.

They are three day hunts. I feel like they are worth it if you are on the right SOA. You need a WMA license prior to registering now. So if you normally hunt WMAs anyway I don't see a reason not to register.

I killed a gobbler last year on the May 6-8 hunt at Cedar Creek. The year before we were at Upper State on the April 23-25. We didn't see or hear a bird there.
