My brother was drawn for the January 7th Portland Landing waterfowl hunt, looks like it may be the first year. Has anyone who deer hunted this SOA before seen anything positive on the waterfowl front for this tract? Looks to be a few scattered small swamps on the map.

Hopefully someone will chime in that's been on that Unit. However, that area should hold some ducks for sure but it will probably be mostly wood ducks. Its very close to the river so if the weather cooperates there should be some ducks in those swamps or beaver ponds. Do they let you scout before your hunt? That'd probably be your best bet vs. going in blind
