It’s nice over here in PCB. You can see the clouds to the east and it’s a little windy. Stil a picturesque sunset. I came in close to a sting ray out there twice earlier, close enough to feel it brush my leg.

It be's that way sometimes.

That thing looks bad, bad. It just went through an eyewall replacement, and IIRC that's a sign of strengthening.

Moved due north for ~8 hrs, slowed down, and strengthened. It will be a Cat 5 at landfall.

I have a High School class mate who lives in Ft. Myers . We've been texting. She has a critical job at a hospital and can't evac.

I bet any storm chasers who are on the coast near Sanibel to video this are regretting their decision right now.

Yes he is, but this is going to be a bad one and the media is going to blame every death on him personally and not give him any credit for the positives and his preparation which saved thousands of lives. Bank on it.

Based off Windfinder it’s going to be very close to the same track as Charlie.
Head easterly towards Titusville before turning north and riding coast towards Savanna

So much focus was put on Tampa area, hopefully those in Ft. Myers, Punta Gorda area in the evac zones took the warnings and didn't decide not to go b/c of all the Tampa people not in evac zones jamming up the highways. Really sucks for them b/c there is only a few ways out of there east and south and not many places to go to except the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. The news also just talked about how people evac'd from Tampa are stuck in Punta Gorda. Why you can't hype up that a major metropolitan area needs to evacuate, need to stress that it's just those in the evacuation zones.

Those South of a Tampa landfall would have been on the bad side of the storm so they should have been preparing and evacuating just like those in Tampa if they have hurricane experience.

I bet all those folks who recently moved to Florida from Demo controlled states are wondering if they made the right move.

My concern also. Media's big story excitement and over hype about Tampa is likely going to result in deaths of people in the landfall zone that could not get out because of that. I pray I am wrong. Watch the Democrats jump on this disaster before the mid terms. Despicable if they do.
