Spent the day at the farm getting fields ready and sone planted today. We have a Kubota MX5200 and a Ford 2000 (actually a superdexta). I ran old blue from 8:30AM till 4PM and it’s kicked my butt! 😂😂. No power steering is the worst. But that being said she pulled a big disk all day long and SIPPED diesel fuel.

Call me crazy but I’d rather own and operate the old.

Agreed forest. I can get most parts for the old ford either around home or as CrossCreek Tractor in Cullman. The kubota has been in the shop 3 times with sensor failures and computer issues. I’ve slowly rebuilt the old Ford after my grandfather passed away. But it’s all been minor stuff like brakes, fuel filter assembly, master fuse and generator (doesn’t have an alternator).

We had an old ford on a club I used to be in that was a beast. I used to love Bush hogging the roads and turning plots with it.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Agree....MF135 and Ford 3000 are the ultimate hunting club tractors.

There is an aftermarket bolt on kit to put power steering on that tractor. Guy in our club did it last year on his. Think his was a 3000 model but there almost identical I think. He said it would work on a 2000 model also. There is a plate on left side of engine u remove an put pump on. Rest is just bolt on small hydraulic cylinder on steering arm an couple lines. Don t know the cost but I do know he is WAY happier now . Might be something to check on if use it a lot. His is bullet proof.

I’ve looked at those and still may do it. Years ago a company in England made a 4x4 conversion for them. Best I can tell there’s not even a used one around. This one is all original and was purchased in Jasper in the early 60s new. My grandfathers best friend purchased it new and pop bought it from him in the late 80s. It’s a special built model based on the numbers but it had a ford 3000 axle trunions and a 3000 style speedometer with a ford 2000 badging. But it’s definitely an England built Fordson rebranded.

It can drink all the fuel it wants if my only other choice doesn't have power steering..LOL!

I bush hogged all day yesterday with a newer JD and I can walk around pretty good today, wouldn't be that way riding my old 135.

I just ran an old Ford 3600 pulling a very old 5 ft. Bushhog brand cutter for about 18 hours between Friday morning and Sunday afternoon. Great on roads and tight plots, but no so much on 7 ft. dog fennel or very thick grass. Except for a flat we fixed, ran like a champ. Does have power steering but the seat leaves a little to be desired. not good for old backs.
