In Northwest Alabama is spotty at best. I checked white oaks, red oaks and mountain oaks.

Spotty down here in South Bama too. Probably all the rain this Summer. Seen a few in my yard recently. But not the normal amount.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Saw a water oak today that was loaded. Haven’t seen any chestnut white oaks yet, but they are hard to see this time of year.

I bet there will be plenty of yellow acorns this year.

I had yellow hickory nuts dropping in July. I'm expecting the same with acorns. I think the dry summer in north Bama is gonna cause a bad mast crop.

Got a red oak I’m gonna hang a bow stand in. Out of about 20 oaks around it, it has 5x as many

Everything is loaded here. Since the zone I hunt in has such a short archery season I’m not really going to attempt going after them until muzzleloader when I can hunt more open areas. Just no point in trying to sit over any mast trees when they are all dropping. The deer here won’t have to move more than 20 yards to fill up and bed back down.

Nope. Been as wet of a year, so far, as I can remember.

We’ve had so much rain, in fact, that our farmer was telling me that he was impressed with the bean crop on our farm. Most years farmers are telling me how we need rain and ain’t got no crop. Lol

I've been cutting firewood for 2 weekends. Haven't seen the first hickory nut or acorn and I've cut down some big red oaks and scaley barks
