I let my cur's out of the pen this morning, went down to the end of driveway to get trash can and heard a fawn bellowing out. Sadie was harassing the fawn and Callie came running about the same time mamma Doe came in. The Doe curb stomped both of my dogs without any regard for me. My cur's are on our on the porch looking at me like what the hell. Don't think a Doe can't protect their fawns to a certain extent.

My buddy has a German short hair that he trained to retrieve water foul. When it was a pup a downed goose beat the crap out of the dog. Now the dog will retrieve any bird, except a goose. If he knocks down a goose the dog will run to it, but stop ~10ft from it and not go any closer.
Yes sir, my Cur's are hell on a squirrel or coon, but they don't chase deer and this morning just reaffirmed to them why not.
