The No Step on Snek thread got me thinking about this subject.
Lots of people fantasize about leading a revolution. Very few do. The few that do are usually batshit crazy. This usually leads to a government way worse than the one that you overthrew. Read history. The Russian revolution, Hitler and the Nazi's, Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, The French Revolution, Mao Zedong, the list goes on and on..
I can only think of maybe one exception to this. The American Revolution.
Do you know of anymore?
Disclaimer: This is not an anti-revolution thread, it's simply a reality thread. It rarely works out because the people willing to lead it are usually insane.

The real revolution we need is simply doing whats right. One man putting others before himself. Find several million men willing to do that and they will change the world. The degradation of our society and every other society in history was caused by one thing, "self". Think on that. When one cares more about himself than others, its all downhill from there. The opposite of that will revolutionize life as we know it. Our leaders are consumed by "self" and its destroying our country. They are trying hard to convince us "self" is all that matters. We are going down hill fast and "self" is all we have to blame. Revolution is available but it dont look like what everyone has pictured in their own mind. Good post

Sucks when we figure out that we’ve lost the war We’re now dissecting the how Sadly we were warned so many years ago and ignored al the warnings along the way

Carter, as a whole it might be over, i dont know. I kinda feel that way myself. But an abundant life is still available to each individual. An individual can still be vibrant even though the whole is rotten. So very true and that might be all that’s left

All of the marxists revolutions had a strongman out front that we all know, but they were rooted in academia. I think most of them mean well, but spending their entire life at a university means they have no idea how the real world operates. Makes me think about the current situation at our universities today.

Could we even find somebody that would be suitable to lead just us from this forum if things got bad? For the most part we have similar values and are from the same geographic area but could we agree on someone to lead us through what I believe is coming? Gotta go with Bill Dillard and Goodman Hunter. Goodman can get most of them in line with a Bob Barker shower slide and Bill Dillard can handle the ones that just can't get right.

Nothing happening apart from the fulfilling of the scriptures concerning the end times. It is so sad to watch these things happening but God's word tells us that it will. II Timothy 3:2 - For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
