Came out on the same day that Wal-Mart announces lay offs. When Walmart has to fire people = economy is bad.

Giving people jobs back after shutting them down the last 2 years isn't job growth.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

It is a lagging indicator. Wait until the 4th quarter of this year and 1st and 2nd of 2023. Then we'll know.

Major manufacturers in our line of work have hiring freezes right now to try and prevent layoffs. Numbers they pump out don’t matter when the big players in this country are doing things like this. It’s about to get bumpier and no stats are going to hide it.

Remember it doesn't count anyone not considered in the active labor force, which means if you're unemployed and haven't looked for work in 4 weeks you're no longer considered "unemployed".

Quote
The unemployment rate measures the share of workers in the labor force who do not currently have a job but are actively looking for work. People who have not looked for work in the past four weeks are not included in this measure. It is important to keep in mind that the rate measures the percent of unemployed job seekers in the labor force—the sum of employed and unemployed persons—and not the entire population.

Probably so

That’s how Obama played the game.
Got the great press and crickets when the revisions came out.

We are still 1 million +/- people employed down from where we were in Feb 2020.

And a couple million have completely left the workforce, so will never be considered in these numbers again.

It's all authoritarian propaganda.
