I was talking to a pretty wise (in my opinion) individual the other day and we happened to talk about global warming. He said he believed global warming was indeed a reality... but not because of what the liberal left blames it on. In his opinion, global warming is occurring because of the increase in asphalt and concrete in the world. Never had thought about it, but that makes a lot of sense. In 15 years in my community, there have been MANY new shopping centers and subdivisions that have been built - and all of them have asphalt or concrete as part of the developments. Whenever I ride into town from the country, my outside temperature gauge on my truck climbs a few notches. In all the discussions about global warming, I've never heard this mentioned as a primary factor... not sure why.

I think it is just normal for me temperature to shift drastically, and it has been doing it for a long time without any help from humans. I don't know if concrete is affecting climate, but I believe that it has definitely affected the temp readings they have used to "prove" that temps are climbing. My son in law looked into one of their studies years ago and found that many of the measurements they were using could be explained by the asphalt and concrete, and that particular study made no attempt to account for it.
Seems pretty obvious that a street corner where they measured temperature a century ago when it was grass and trees is going to be a lot hotter now when it's all concrete and asphalt.
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

I believe the world goes through temperature changes regardless of what humans do.

The data shows a steady increase of CO2, I'm just not sure I trust the reasons the reasons they say the atmospheric CO2 is increasing, if it is a co2 issue there are many ways to combat it using other technologies. The whole electric car thing will not do one thing to reduce emmisions.

I know when I worked in Phoenix, there could be 40 degrees difference from the desert temperature compared to the temperature inside the city limits. This was a couple of hours after sunset.

The earth warms, it cools, it changes. The right goal would be to deal with it rationally and adapt. Here in my state of Florida the west coast used to be 30+ miles west of where it is now, another time it was 30+ miles east of where it is now. At one point there was very little surface water in Florida, another it was mostly covered.. No nasty cars spewing CO2 back then, just mother earth doing what she does. The global warming bs is pablum for the stoopids designed to make rich folks richer, nothing more.

Let’s try this again Summer time it gets hot…some days months years hotter than others Fall is a time of cooling…some days months years are hotter or cooler Winter is a time that’s cool…some days months years are cooler than others Spring is a time of warming…some days months years warm quicker than others
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

There was a glacier on top of where my house is 10,000 years ago. You can dig in places hundreds ( if not more ) of miles inland all over the planet and find sea creature fossils.
If thee is one thing that's consistent, it's that the earth is inconsistent. Solar cycles, weather, climate, sea levels, life cycles, species survival and everything else about it changes. The sky ain't falling.

There’s no money in blaming asphalt, concrete, and roof tops. That’s why it’s not talked about. and this

I believe one of the biggest contributing factors is that we’ve taken vast amounts of carbon out of the soil and transferred it to the atmosphere through our land management practices…..in the process creating more and more areas or desertification where it’s no longer even possible for plants to reclaim it and transfer it back to the soil.

Quite interesting record they have, isn't it? https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/50-y...dictions-the-so-called-experts-are-0-50/

. Don't panic about Global Warming it's happened before and there's nothing that can be done about it. Politicians can’t extort money from a reasonable public.
