Not sure if anyone has seen the latest Richard Gene video but he is jug fishing with noodles but the noodles are so simple. Just a cotton string and a hook. Anyone else build their noodles this way? I was going to rig some up but I mainly fish in current and thought the bait would not get down far enough

I Used to rig jugs and limb lines with no weight. Set the limb lines with a branch minner about 4" below the surface. At night Catfish will come up off the bottom and readily eat a live minner!!

Regularly set mine with no weights, live bait or cut bait/livers. Seems to work fine for me.

As mentioned above also, our last limb lining trip we went weightless. Two nice big flatheads ate the bream and got released in the grease.

I run mine with half oz. I fish the channel mostly on Wheeler
