If this bastard doesn't get the juice and leave this earth soon, something just isn't right.
He should have already been locked up with the key thrown away. I'm all about second chances, but not 48th chances. What do think is going to happen if you let a guy like this back on the streets? I'm surprised more innocent lives were not lost before this fine officer.
We got a mental health problem in this nation that isn't working alongside our criminal justice system.

He had already escaped from prison, assaulted a police officer, and was arrested for a felon in possession of a gun. And turned loosed again, this time to kill a police officer. Don't tell me we need more gun laws. I will bitch slap you if you tell me we need more gun laws. We need to enforce the laws we have and keep thugs in jail. This is it! Our court system has failed us

We got a mental health problem in this nation that isn't working alongside our criminal justice system. Mental / moral / Spiritual decay. Read Romans 1 vs 28-32. Sign if the times and all of the mental health care in the work will not help anything. Only repentance through a spiritual awakening will.

Prayers for the families, fellow officers, community, etc…. On another note, how is a person arrested 46 times in 9 years? That’s an average of being arrested about every 2 1/2 months. For NINE years!!

I don’t know I don’t have Facebook. I do know helicopters were flying over Brent last night.

Outrageous that a POS with a record like that was out on the street to have the opportunity to do something like this. Of course now they will put his ass away for good or execute him. But it's a little late now. Someone needs to be held accountable beyond just this thug.

They pass them through like calves through a working pen. They just give little slaps on the wrist and move em out. It costs to much money to incarcerate them. That cuts in to the states budget that can be blown on other bulldoodoo. I see this nonsense every time I have to go in a courtroom. Most of the time they are back on the street before we finish the arrest report. I better stop now.

Prayers for the officers, their families, work family, friends and all first responders involved.
Obviously the three strike rule did not apply to this POS. But, apparently this is what happens since the prison reform. We constantly have people fussing down here about how those convicted are turned loose so soon and how low bonds are for the most heinous of crimes it seems. Some just shouldn't be allowed to have bond, but on the flip side of that, the tax payer is on the hook for the upkeep of that person if not allowed to bond out and the wheels of justice turn so slow here that it is quite often a couple years before a case comes to trial. So, that is a couple years worth of upkeep for a person who may or may not be convicted at trial. But, for those arrested for the worst of crimes I don't think the general populace would balk at a portion of their taxes going to keep those types locked up.
Of course, if general society were allowed to police their own property as they wished without fear of repercussion, a lot of these crimes might reduce on their own.
