Spent the last few days assembling tried and true loads for me and my boy's bolt guns for what I hope will be a trip to the range next weekend. 308s and 223s for 500 yds and in, and I'm going to take those red-tipped 87gr Vmaxs out to 1000 yds for the first time in my 243. My ballistics calculator predicts that they will perform almost as well as the 107 sierras out to that range. Nothing to do but go shoot them and see! Oh, and the next time you're looking for some good 168 HPBTs, don't overlook the Speer match bullets. They are cheaper than sierras, and they shoot just as well, if not better in my rifles.

Ain't no way I'm going to the range to sweat on my guns in this weather.

I would rather pick okra naked in August surrounded by 1000 horse flies than to go shoot in this God Awful Heat!!!
