I still say the Church's in Selma. The #1 Church's by volume in the nation. They stay so busy it is always hot and fresh. Bad area but always good, fast and correct service. Our local Jack's has good chicken but they can never get an order right. I don't like thighs so I always order with no thighs but they hear, extra thighs for some reason. Good fingers though with the Comeback sauce. I can make a meal out of just legs so at KFC so I order the three piece all legs. Since that is one of the less popular pieces, they always put four or five legs in it. They are pretty good too.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Don’t know those towns but the Chicken shack in Skinny’s hometown is tasty. They won best chicken in AL. Something about the seasoning and they fry it to perfection.

The day after Thanksgiving a few years ago I bought a bucket from Popeyes in Selma. All 4 of us that ate it got deathly ill; enough so that we all avoided Popeyes everywhere and any chicken in Selma. I'll give Church's a try next time.

Pelham or Alabaster area: Chain: Champy's then Popeyes Non Chain: Golden Fish and Chicken on 31 in Alabaster (my personal choice)
Expand your search a little bit and you have some more choices: Hoover: Shark's, Famous Fred's, Super Chix 280: Lloyd's (my personal choice)
