Cracker Barrel has a very good fried chicken dinner. some of the best I’ve had if it’s fresh. You almost have to make them cook it fresh has been my experience recently.

Don’t know those towns but the Chicken shack in Skinny’s hometown is tasty. They won best chicken in AL. Something about the seasoning and they fry it to perfection.  I ate there once and wasn't impressed. Mediocre at best.

Miss the Hardee’s marinated, double battered buttermilk chicken from the 90’s. It was fine never figured out why they quit selling it. That was the best thing on the menu

Went to Cracker Barrel last week. Worst meal I've ever had. I got chicken and wife got a chicken fried steak. Both so dry you couldn't eat it. Mashed potatoes were out of a box. Green beans had no flavor at all. We just ask for to-go boxes. Ended up throwing it in the trash. Gravy was instant. Tea was undrinkable. Used to be decent

Lee's in Jasper is good. Best baked beans anywhere Very good. Chicken livers are excellent

They say Little Donkey in Montgomery but I can’t resist their brisket tacos. I’ve always used Popeyes in Prattville for chain bone in chicken but also eat zaxby’s.

The last fried chicken I had from Jack's was several years ago. It tasted like yesterday's leftovers cooked in last week's grease. Fuggin awful.

The last fried chicken I had from Jack's was several years ago. It tasted like yesterday's leftovers cooked in last week's grease. Fuggin awful. Jack’s is awful. Tried it 2 times too many to give new store chance to get over opening mistakes that are common in new restaurant. It was terrible both times and they got my order wrong both times. I complained to their main office on the website and never heard back. Bad food & poor service.
