Well we really just want them to right their wrong.. I ran over my wife’s toy poodle breaking his right femur.. well they tried to operate on his left leg claiming the chart was labeled wrong.. Dang that sucks, but I doubt it would be worth hiring an attorney. I have no experience in this type of situation I am just thinking the cost would far out weigh the benefit.

What do you want to "make it right"?
I think an acceptable resolution would be for them to complete the surgery on the correct leg, if they haven't already after they started on the wrong leg and then realized it and closed the incision and completed the surgery on the correct leg, and then offered the treatment at no cost to you.
They are probably not going to offer pain/suffering etc.
Have they offered anything??

We just want to be reimbursed for the surgery Lol you want reimbursed for the surgery that they did because you ran over your wife’s dog. I get they almost didn’t the surgery on the wrong leg but this sounds like a scam to me.

You caught me I purposely ran over my dog with my 9 y/o daughter in the car hoping and praying they operated on the wrong leg so I could hopefully buy a beach house

They probably have about as much liabilty as dentists. I called a friends personal litigation attorney daughter when an endodontist cost me about $6,000 and made me sick as a dog for who knows how long. Pierced my sinus and broke a drill off in a root canal and did not even bother to mention it. Figured it out when it became infected and my dentist x rayed it. The POS endodontist knew full well it was fd up and closed it up anyway. The attorney laughed at me in a friendly manner. I don't think you will have much luck with a dog, unfortunately. I had a Endodontist do a root canal on the wrong tooth and try to tell me it was the one that needed it. When I asked him how he determined that and to show me on the X-ray what indicated it he wasn’t able to. He ended up covering the wrong root canal as well as the right root canal, and one crown but didn’t cover the second crown. I too talked to a lawyer and they said no chance this works out well for you. Take what you got and keep moving, so that’s what I did. I know long term the second root canal is probably going to cause me problems so I’m not thrilled about that but I’ve made peace with it. All that to say, if they are anything like dentists don’t expect much.

Sounds like you're just angry and don't want to pay the bill. Did they provide the service and repair the damaged leg? If so, pay them what you owe them. They didn't run over your dog. They almost made a mistake, but didn't.
You vote democrat? Never your fault? Always someone elses fault? Don't want to pay what you owe, looking for a free handout?
Cause that's what it reads like.

Did they do surgery on the correct leg? If they opened up the other leg all they did probably was make an incision as they saw it was correct. If they did the correct leg though, you really have no case. Now if they had amputated that’s where you would have a case
