Is anyone having issues with Covert Firmware updates completely frying your camera?

I had 2 Covert Code Black(2019/20) that quit sending pictures at my lease a couple hours away. Cameras were still taking pictures just not sending them. When I made it up and updated the firmware, it completely smoked both cameras. They’re conveniently out of warranty and their solution to me is ‘invest’ in a couple more cameras at a very small discount.

Never had those issues so far. I would send them in to let them check them out. I’ve always had pretty good customer service but now days who knows. Also I haven’t updated firmware for a while a no issues.

Covert has the cameras. Their solution was just for me to buy more cameras because the firmware did more damage than they could fix.

In the past 8 or so years with them I’ve had no complaints. Since they were bought out by GSM Outdoors things have definitely changed.

Just haven’t bought the whole deal with firmware frying the cameras like that. Seems fishy.

Seems to me if it was their firmware that caused the issue, and they admitted it did, they should warranty them regardless.
