I didn’t know this guy was in my back yard. I see he’s pretty famous in the industry. How are his pot and box calls in your opinions? I know opinions are just that, but I don’t know any other turkey hunters in person to ask any questions. Will he sell them directly from his manufacturing plant?

I've got 2 of his pot calls. Slate and Crystal. And a few of the diaphragm calls. I've killed turkeys using them.

I used to like their mouth calls…it’s what I learned on. They just got a little too proud of ‘em

Woodhaven is solid stuff - it’s just pricey (now) - i’ve used/have all their stuff - diaphragms, pots, and boxes i still use their Red Wasp mouth call - these days, if i were to support an AL callmaker, it’d be Lyle @ Houndstooth

I first bought one at a little country store outside of Selma when they first started; maybe 25 years ago? The store owner said they were great calls, so I bought one and put it in my mouth and was gonna test it while driving. I drove about a mile and then turned around and went back and bought 3 more of them. They made some advancements in diaphragm calls that were beyond what anyone else was doing at the time.
I used their stuff for a number of years, but then started finding smaller companies that I thought had passed them. I carry nothing but Hatchet Creek and Fatal Attraxion mouth calls now, and Stony has gone out of business so I have to treat the FA calls like gold. They are all going back into the refrigerator today.
I also carry a Dixie Darling box and a PCP Rivercane, along with a Ryan Shoub glass call. The only thing Woodhaven I still use is one of their strikers for the glass call.
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

Dang it, I just tried to PM Stony this morning. I really liked that Rebel flag / Turkey footprint glass call someone posted back in 2014. Caint have nuthin nice! Lol. I’m probably gonna build a limited number of calls later this year or early next year as I’ve finally gotten a little desire back to build them.

I use one of their mouth yelpers exclusively. Same. I also carry a houndstooth ghost cut, but rarely use.

I use to use them a lot - like pcp said - others passed them - legacy does well - hounds tooth has been amazing - I can run all their mouth calls well - liked all 9-10 diff ones I tried - I can’t say that about anybody else - usualky will buy a couple I don’t like - can’t say that with hounds tooth - great mouth call
Just wish I had a turkey to use them on 🤣🤣

have used them for years as well. the past couple of hs strut hunter specialties have been similar quality and tone for me. I throw away about half the mouth calls I buy and throwing away wood havens gets expensive.
