it was a Deputy GW for Gulf States, Jimmy Vines ,working with Off Harvey Foster on a complaint just south of Eutaw. They approached two blacks walking night hunting. One of the blacks shot Vines and killed him. Foster returned fire and called for medical help. We had prolly 100 Officers from as far away as Mobile and into Mississippi helping to apprehend the night hunters who were caught later that night. Trial was a damn joke, black shooter in Greene Co shot a white officer was found guilty of manslaughter by a 10 black, two white jury. Judge sentenced him to 10 years, max on Manslaughter.
cool stories. Sounds about right for Greene county. I worked part time for years at the hospital up there so I know the local politics well

During the process of trying to arrest them one of the men shot Frank in the back of the head with a shot gun. They were later caught due to Frank writing their tag number in the palm of his hand.
