So I’m looking to get either the Solitude or the Sanctuary bib and jacket for the upcoming season. I want something for temperature ranges 20-40 deg. I walk about 1/4 of a mile to my furthest stand and I tend to get hot easily on the walk in. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

What’s a comfortable temperature range to you for just being in the stand?

Youll get hot in your house putting them on, in your truck on the way to the woods, and climbing a tree for sure. The crappy part for me is that after i get up in the tree and get situated and its 25° outside. 30min later im freezing to death. I just cant win for losing trying to stay warm when its really cold. I just havent figured out how to stay warm.

Don't put them on until you get out of the truck

When it’s cold like that I walk to the stand in just shirt and pants and then put on all my insulated stuff once I get there. If I have to walk any distance at all wearing that stuff I get sweaty and if I get sweaty I get cold.

I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one that has this problem, I’ve got some coveralls that are really warm but they are such a pain in the butt and I sweat to the point dehydration getting to my stand with the top half wrapped around my waist and the leg zippers unzipped which is why I’m looking at the FL stuff may go with the Solitude since it’s not as insulated as the Sanctuary but I’m just not sure. Thought about just wearing the Sanctuary bib with nothing under that and then the Kiln top under the jacket on days that only get into the 30s. If I go with the Solitude then I will definitely have to layer up on days that get into the 30s and below.

I either do this, or leave earlier than normal, and walk extra slow with my stuff unzipped.

I have custom fleece outerwear. It's insulated. When its cold, if I am just walking in, I put it on and then walk slowly. If I am climbing, I usually put it on when I am up the tree.

What I like about this outerwear is its utterly silent, and it doesn't have anything in it that makes noise when you move around. Some of the cold weather gear seems to have a plastic sounding material in it.

So bib and jacket. I have a matching vest too, if its freaking really cold.

Get a big backpack and carry your clothes to the stand. I’m the same as others stated, hot when walking, cold if I get sweaty. I even change my socks at the stand to try to help keep my feet warm

I wear them when it gets in the low 30’s or below, Especially when the wind starts blowing hard. Anything over 40 I wear other hunting clothes

Thanks sounds about the temp range I’m looking at.
