Thanks guys!!! It’s crazy the amount of animals they have here. This is a 4K acre lease and is all low fence. The amount of whitetail and turkeys here is insane. Really strong population of axis in this whole area. We saw a giant axis buck this morning but he got in some brush before my buddy could get a shot. Axis are way more skittish then whitetail. We are having a blast. The amount of game in TX will spoil you. There’s a lot of it and very diverse opportunities too. Land ownership is completely different than here in the mid south. It’s definitely the most fun place you can hunt in the US, likely the entire world.

Congratulations!!! I have seriously considered dropping my lease and doing a few paid hunts to different locations. The older I get the more appealing it gets. I have got to tell you I know quite a few folks going this route. Having more fun and being more productive as well. I am. Done paying for Bama leases and hunting clubs. Using those funds for out of state adventures.

We are having a blast. It’s extremely dry here and this ranch has 6 tanks or water holes with solar wells. Everything you can imagine come to water. I could have killed my limit in turkeys the first 2 hunts if I wanted to just shoot one at a water hole. This morning must have been the perfect weather for gobbling. It was plum crazy the amount of gobbling I heard. I was on the wrong side of the fence and in a big flat. They flew down and went up a big hill away from me. I’m gonna be on that hill tomorrow morning, but y’all know turkeys. I am in awe here. Never have I ever thought I’d be doing this. Im not gonna say it’s a free hunt because we covered all expenses for this trip and refuse to let out buddy that has the ranch pay for anything but it’s money well spent.

You have be careful where you kneel down around here or you will get a knee full of cactus. Don’t ask me how I know. And my buddy said he got the cow pattie in the pic because it was the best looking thing in the picture.
