I don't think it was staged. Will Smith don't give a rats azz about the Oscar ratings. You telling me folks at the Oscars asked Will to come on-stage and slap Chris Rock?? Will Smith has zero to gain from this incident and everything to lose.
No way this was staged to boost Oscar ratings. If it was staged, it was staged for some other reason than TV ratings. Will Smith is getting roasted on social media for this.. roasted. Yet he was front row at the Oscar's ? He cares. He was nominated and had a good chance to win Best Actor.. he was going to be front row. Nope, no way he is going to get involved in this for ratings... the may was cussing out loud and its on video.. that was staged too? You will see in the next couple days this was not staged. Chris Rock's world comedy tour tickets just jumped from 40 to 400 overnight.

If it was real...IF.... then it was hollywood real which is effect - not real at all. My wife said "it looks like he really slapped him". He DID really slap him....they're both good actors and that's part of the wrastlin' side of acting. Fake because it was "pulled", not that it didn't connect. Wrastlers really get hit, too, but their drama is also fake drama that gets their name in your mouth and $$$$$$! IF (big word to be so damned little) it was real, Will's a wuss.
