Interesting read about testing of TSS at long ranges.

What kinda dummy would even try that on purpose..its one thing to accidentally mis judge distance..its another to do it on purpose. That bein said..there are guns that will do wayy yunder more than what that article claims..but thats just paper shootin fun..k dont know a soul who actively claims to try and killem at 60yds..much less 70 or 90…not on purpose anyway.

I just want the money he spent on shells. I may be able to get half tank of gas in my truck.

If u don't get that turkey to 40 yards u lost the game. Not saying u can't kill em farther but u didn't win. Just my opinion

A lot of people try it at that distance. They don't talk about it, though, because of the blowback like yours and Sandmtnslayer's.

Not disagreeing with you. I woulnd't shoot one at 80 yards. I like getting them within 40, or closer. Makes my liver quiver. But the ammo will reach, and people do it.

Might as well take a .243 if you want to shoot them at 90! I like it when they make the ground shake. Gotta be close

I’m a big TSS fan but I like it for its performance in killing in ethical ranges..70-90 yards ain’t it.

I know a bird will hang up occasionally but shooting one past 40 yds speaks poorly of your calling skills

Only takes one pellet to kill a turkey, I wonder how much collateral damage happens to surrounding birds past 50 yards. Especially with tss carrying more energy down range. It’s a great tool used properly, but like everything else there’s folks that have no respect for the animal that will push the envelope.

I just love how all of a sudden a lot of these companies suddenly care about the wild turkey and ethics.

That post was from several years ago. Just rubs me the wrong way when these companies now try to act like they care after promoting all the nonsense in the past.
