Both seem well made. Both are made locally

We looked at them before the end of the year.

We went with a Hyundai Santa Fe. My wife decided she didn’t want the bigger vehicle and she likes the Hyundai better.

That being said; from what I researched I couldn’t find a reason NOT to buy a Kia.

Some of our good friends we hang out with has one. They have had it for a few years and love it. They have had nothing but good things to say about it.

bought a 2022 last year for my wife. She absolutely loves it. Expensive as heck and no negotiation. Buyers have no leverage anymore especially with a vehicle in high demand. We got ours at Kia of Gardendale. Good folks to work with.

You'd think a kindergarten in Chitcago comes up with some of the names for these new vehicles 🤷🏿‍♂️

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

My wife was looking at one in January, no one had one in stock and she got mad that everyone was adding a dealer correction of a few thousand so she ended up with a palisade both have good reviews and I could not find a reason to not buy either one. Unlike most domestic branded vehicles.

I was riding down the road one day and saw a brown 4 door Chevette. I don't know if you are old enough to remember them, but they were a very forgettable rear wheel drive Chevrolet economy cars. Ugly as homemade sin. Anyway I was not only surprised to see it on the road, I also noticed how nice it was. It was pristine. As I began to pass it I noticed the custom license plate and it said, "VETTE." I had to laugh, thinking of all the gold chain wearing, Corvette owners that would give their left nut for that tag.

Kia and Hyundai both offer 100k powertrain warranties, I think they also have 60k bumper to bumper. One thing I noticed when we were looking is that the Kia warranty is cut in half if you are not the original owner, so a used on only has a 50k manufacturer warranty. With the current market like it is a new one is about the same price anyway.

We bought one last year about this time. My wife loves it. Gets 24mpg on average, and rides good. No negotiation on price at all though..
