Just a couple weekends left in my first season. Even though I have not bagged one (yet), I am addicted to hunting, some in my circle might say obsessed and I can't argue. I've really enjoyed learning, meeting new people on and off line, a lot of good exercise, and the solitude that just comes with being out in the woods. I moved here a year ago from a big ol city with little to no public areas to hunt. I could see these opportunities were here on my first visit which sold me on moving here. I know the end is near and I wonder what y'all do to stay sane until next season. I've seen enough turkey in my deer hunts to be interested in that. I plan on doing some fishing this spring and summer, but what else is out there? I saw a guy kill and skin a coyote with a beautiful pelt. I never thought of that. I saw you can even sell them to fur buyers and arts and crafts types on Etsy. Got some interest in taking a few out of my local WMA. Anything to help the deer right?
What else do y'all do to keep busy and out in the woods after deer season?

Sulk over once again not killing a 150ā buck. Then I pull out a Woodhaven mouth call and put deer season behind me and look forward to making pink mist out of a gobblers head š

Catch up on sleep for the next month before Turkey season runs me down again. Best time to scout for next deer season is right after this season. Generally just stomping the woods scouting, the Woods are open and trails are worn down and the deer will be in the Same places next year not to mention Scouting for Turkey season.

I tagged out so mine's over. I already have all my turkey stuff packed in the truck and ready for March.
