I've got about a dozen or so does now that are hanging around tight to my food plot. For at least the last week now they have completely shut down night-time movement and have only been moving during the day......I'm getting zero night time pics of them. They've been coming out starting at around 1:30 and feeding all afternoon though. Anyone seen this happen before? Is it the moon? The weather?......I've got a hunch that it may be coyotes but that's just a theory.......

I wouldn’t be complaining about daytime movement If I were you. The answer is simple though. You need to fill your corn feeder. laugh

I have a pack that's coming and going……I need to get a little bit more serious about trapping them but I’m kinda rethinking that now. They aren’t coming through every night but when they do they’re raising all kinds of hell……I can hear them from inside the house. I think they’re coming through harassing the deer and basically applying hunting pressure to them. I think the deer may be possibly adapting their behavior to it......maybe....possibly.....

My patterns have been all jacked up this year too. I kept a large bachelor group till mid December. They have all dispersed and are hit or miss on returning. I might se one on camera every 2-3 days. I used to see does on all 3 fields daily every afternoon. Now I’m lucky if I have a pair of does on one field in the afternoon. By this time last 3 years, the rut was wide open. No sign of it yet. There has been a lot of change around my place this year though. Mainly the cutting of the 1600 acres of pines to my north. This is why it’s hunting, not killing.

The Good Lord's deer, that I have been seeing here on my place, have been moving well from mid afternoon until dark the last week or so.

I haven't seen a yote all year long.

I think it may be the moon phase but I don't really know.

I ain't much of a Deer Whisperer.

I just like to shoot em' every now and then. grin

Less likely to get harassed by bucks feeding midday. All the bucks are crushing morning and evening harassing them

It's cause they know you not going to kill them! Pressure deer don't act like that. Do this gun and tell me what happens on daylight sightings. Heck, you might have deer with Covid and CWD that don't know night from day. rofl

This has been an off year for us in Macon Co. the timber cutting has been off the chart this year around us. The lack of shots heard this year is all I need to know that something is bad off this year. Perfect storm maybe; large scale timbering, no steady weather pattern, full moon during pre-rut, and I think the pressure on the herd is taking its toll.

I’m thinking this is my issue.
