Just curious how many here actually hunt from a ground blind. I personally never hunted from one until last year, sat in one a couple of time. This year me and my wife have both killed bucks from one.

Yes. Started doing things a little different a few years ago. Even killed a couple with my bow from a blind.

I kept one on private land when I had access to it. No way I'm lugging it around just to
sit low to the ground.

Does a hay shed on the farm count? If so yes. 40 years ago. I've thought about trying one these days.

I guess it would count but I was actually referring to one of the commercially manufactured portable blinds “tents”.

Ground blinds replaced hanging stands for me 10 years ago. I already knew they were effective. Primarily a bow hunter and set them up for close shots and consider the dominant wind . They stay up year round.

The only ground blinds I hunt out of are brush piles.

This is my wife, the blind is to the left and behind her, the deer is laying right where she shot it.

I bought one last year. Set it up for my dad and he killed a nice 7 point from it. I actually just set it up Saturday evening for a hunt next weekend in a lil hardwood bottom Right on the edge of thick pines. Put a comfortable rocker chair from academy in it. Never been one to hunt from the ground too much always liked being high as I could in a tree. Guess we will see how it goes.

Workin for the man, huntin when I can.

I hunted strictly from ground both gun and bow for about 10 years until last year..I always made my own with just a few leafy branches in bow season n didn't bother with a gun

My son and I hunt out of one some. Biggest thing I have found when hunting in one especially for a kid is you need a good rest for your gun.

I also take chairs and sit just off the road to hunt long stretches of road - got to be ready - just use natural cover when I do that

I usually just sit in a Turkey chair and use my knees for a rest. Only move at the right time and no blind is needed. I have Killed a bunch of deer like this.
